So I will write about Martin and Debe's visit as well as the graduation festivities SOON. I have yet to download those pictures and need to get a few from Martin and Debe as well. We had a wonderful time though and Daniel walked across the stage twice to receive his M Div and ThM.
This post is not really about much except for the fact I have a new job!
Back in February a position was posted on campus that I decided to pursue. After applying and going through two interviews, I finally found out in the middle of April that I got the job, and I started on May 2nd. So, now I am actually in my third week at the new job and it is going great.
It was very difficult to leave my old office because my co-workers and my boss were great, and I have really enjoyed working there for 3 1/2 years. I told my boss that I was going to apply before I did because I wanted to be upfront and honest with him, not sneaking behind his back. I am now just the next building over from where I used to work, so I still see my former co-workers fairly often. When the weather is nice, we usually still all eat lunch together outside on the picnic tables.
My new position is in Disability Services. It is a pretty small office, 3 full time employees (including me) and one part-time. I am the office manager, so I am still a front desk person, but I handle everything administrative/office related. It has much more responsibility and it is higher paying then my previous position, so it is a good opportunity all around. My new office has HUGE window right behind me, which is awesome and a huge improvement from the basement where I used to work. :) My new co-workers are wonderful; they have been so kind and welcoming to me. It has been a great transition and I am very happy here and thankful for my new job.
My last week at my old position my co-workers were so sweet. They threw a large potluck in my honor (per my request; and yes, I made something of course!) plus many of them brought flowers and gifts for me.
Here are two of the lovely bouquets, believe it or not, both of them are still going pretty strong! In the larger vase I have had to pull out a few flowers as they turned brown/wilted but both are still looking pretty good! This post is not really about much except for the fact I have a new job!

Oh, and it should be noted that when Daniel and I went out to eat to celebrate Daniel turning in his last paper, we were also celebrating my first day at the new job, as they both fell on the same day (May 2nd). Plus, the day [after] I found out I got the job we celebrated with some Thai food. I am excited for this new opportunity to continue to grow and gain new experiences!
