oops

Okay, so I was doing so well the entire month of December, then I sort of fell off the blogging wagon for January. Since it is the last day of the month I felt that I should get a post in here really quick before I begin catching up again.

January has been quite the month here in New England. I have not had one complete (5-day) work week yet, between flying home from our Washington Christmas trip, TWO snow days, MLK Jr. Day, and flying home to Washington again for my dear Daddio's heart surgery.

So when I put it that way, it seems extra pathetic that I have not blogged as I clearly have had quite a few bonus days off. But, I have read 9 books in the month of January, so I guess I was just choosing to snuggle up with a blanket and a book rather than blog. Oops.

Today was Daniel's first day of his last semester (Lord willing!) at Gordon-Conwell! He has a few classes on campus this semester, so we will be carpooling together probably 3 days a week. Even though it adds a few minutes to my morning drive I love the extra time with my dear hubby wubby and am looking forward to it. :) I of course took a picture of the dear student on his way out of the car this morning documenting this momentous occasion. :)

Daniel is also busy taking care of the chickens, donkeys, and horses these days. I helped him (i.e. watched) the afternoon feeding yesterday, so hopefully I will edit my video and get that up on the blog sometime this next month (aim low, miss low...)

The snow is insane this winter, by far the most we have seen since we have moved here, which makes up for the fact it was a little lacking last winter. We have another storm expected over the next few days or so, probably bringing us another 2 FEET. I honestly don't know where it will go; piles on the side of the road are already my height (if not higher!). I have also officially become a Massachusetts "creeper" while I drive...with this much snow you have to! It is impossible to see the cars coming with all the snow piled high, so you have to slowly creep out, block the oncoming traffic and make your turn. :)

Speaking of driving...Daniel is officially a resident of Massachusetts with his new MA drivers license! This deserves a post all its own, so the whole story will wait. It came down to his drivers license expiring on his b-day, the RMV being closed on weekends and holidays, a snow day throwing the whole week off and me working...So Daniel forged the path for me and I shall follow suit sooner than later; though my license does not expire until October (on my birthday-eve). Also we still need to switch our plates...it shall be nice to finally fit and and not have our car stick out like a sore thumb. :)

That it is for now I guess...hopefully this is a nice little preview to wet your appetite for the upcoming posts. Happy Monday and last day of January! Can you believe 2011 is already 1/12th over?!?!

Ooh.. I've never seen that website you posted a link to. What a neat idea! As you know I too love to read! I just might have to browse through your reads and go through a few of your favorites! :) Nine books in 1 month is crazy! Way to go girl!
