labor day weekend

And BOOM, just like that I am caught up to the current month, yay! Not really too much more to catch up on... I will probably do a separate post on some updates we have done to our apartment and my parents are coming to visit this weekend, so I am sure I will write about our many adventures.

Our labor day weekend was fairly uneventful. Our big event was on Saturday, thanks to groupon, we were able to go to a New England Revolution (soccer) game! It took a little bit of convincing to get Daniel to agree to buy this deal, but in the end he caved to appease me. I just thought it would a fun thing to do period, but then when I read the details and saw that of all the MLS soccer teams there are, they happened to be playing the Seattle Sounder, I knew we had to go. Plus, the Revolution play at Gillette Stadium (where the Patriot's play) so it would be our first time getting to go and visit that stadium.

The game itself was okay...neither of us are really soccer fans but the games go pretty quick. We also arrived a little late due to a detour we took to ikea on our way down. I am glad we went at least, it was a fun thing to do on a three-day weekend. Daniel admitted it was awesome to sit in the seats we did at Gillette, as he would never, ever probably be able to sit that close in any other football stadium. :) Here are some pictures!

Daniel in front of another NFL football stadium. So many still to visit.... :)

Some very devoted Sounders fans!

Observe the close seats (and empty stadium, the reason we can get cheap close seats) :) Imagine how awesome (and expensive!) it would be to be able to sit there for an actual football (american style) game. Like I said it was a treat. :)

Some of our other Labor Day weekend activities included me (Jenny) going out to breakfast with some of my girlfriends Saturday morning. We were also able to see our friends adorable new apartment (which also happens to be about a mile away from us!) and have a fun evening eating desserts and fellowshipping around a campfire. Monday was pretty much spent working around our apartment (and I think Daniel was working outside.) Good news is we are pretty much 99.7% DONE (when I was cleaning last weekend I found about 4 random paint touch-up things...though I am hesitant to do them because they are so minor) finally with our apartment. Though I know we will truly never really be done, it will be nice to not feel like there are things around the house we could be working on.

So stay tuned for the final updates of some new lighting, decorations, and the little curtain things I sewed by hand by myself. :)
