Daniel graduated with his MATH last week! It was a lovely weekend with baccalaureate on Friday night and graduation the next morning.
Daniel had to be at Gordon College early for baccalaureate, and my parents arrived just in time to change quickly and zoom over to the Gordon College Chapel. Thanks to our dear friends for saving us seats! I was a big time failure at the baccalaureate service, and I didn't see Daniel walk down the aisle or back up it! :( I am thankful it wasn't the graduation, but it sure made me get a better game plan for graduation the next day.
Dr. Haddon Robinson (preaching professor) giving the message for baccalaureate.
After the service we went out for a late dinner with my parents to a Mexican restaurant we really enjoy in Beverly.
Daniel had to wake up at the crack of dawn to be at Gordon College at 7:45AM for his 10:00 graduation. Poor guy. More bad news (mostly for me and my freshly straightened and curled hair) it was raining. boo. :( The service was great though and we were all so proud of Daniel! :) My hair held up best it could and we spent a little time after the graduation was over taking pictures with friends and family. :)
Waiting for the ceremony to start...me and my daddio!
me with my momsy dearest. :)
Here comes the flag! :) (Be warned, the lighting was apparently terrible and therefore all the pictures came out fairly awful.)
Blurry picture of serious Daniel walking by. I saw him this time! :)
Who can see Daniel's little eyeballs looking at me? :)
President Hollinger and Dr. James (Provost) getting ready to hand out degrees.
My dad and I coordinated so he took video while I snapped some pics. :) Daniel is very popular, hence the load cheering. :) Also, "in abstentia" means that the graduate was not in attendance (If you are more than a certain distance away you do not have to attend). And the woman with the awesome accent reading the names is the Dean of Faculty Dr. Kaminski from Australia.
Wooo hooo, yay Daniel!

We love Gordon Conwell. :)
The proud family members. (note my poor daddio's wet coat!)

Daniel with one of his theology professors, Dr. Vidu.
Our favorite neighbors, Reed and Emily. :)
Woop, woop, we love Nick and Beck (and baby boy Wasch hiding behind the degree)!
Lots of smart boys. :) Nick (MDiv), Daniel (MATH), Reed (MDiv), and Ara (MA NT and MA OT)
Nick's beloved elbow pose. :)

friends. :)
We BBQed some flank steak for lunch, and then went over with all our families to our friends Nick and Beck's apartment for dessert (Reed and Emily and family came too)! It was a very fun evening fellowship and celebrating all the boys big accomplishments.
We left the next morning for a quick Cape Cod getaway, but I will save that for another post. :)
Congratulations dude, I am so proud of you! One down, two to go... :)
