moving part 1

Well, moving weekend 2008 is officially over. Daniel basically did all the moving himself on Friday while I was at work. So that was a nice surprise coming home and seeing most everything done! I was expecting to see shambles. So Saturday we finished the "putting things away" part of moving, kitchen cupboards, dresser drawers, etc. The books are technically in the bookshelf, but the OCD-type person that I means that I still have to go through and sort/alphabetize them. :) Then Matt and Glenna come over for one last hurrah; we played cities and knights until 3AM. Sunday we started the cleaning (by far the WORST part of moving) and that evening we helped out friends the Russell's pack up their truck. :( We were sad to see them go, but are excited for them. They moved to Louisville, KY for Matt to pursue his ThM (1 additional year). Yesterday evening we finished up all of the final cleaning and Daniel turned in our keys this morning. :)

We are enjoying the new apartment a lot. We will put pictures up soon, once things are more settled. It is a very weird feeling though, being in the same apartment building, just different apartment. Very familiar but very different. In some ways it has almost made the move adjustment seem harder...Kind of like de ja vu? Anyway, all is well and we are very happy with the new space.

SAT - This is what we do when we are tired of moving...go out for some thai food and then to a beach park to enjoy the misty/cool evening.
